Okay this made me angry enough on its own, but:

THIS BEING HOLMES’ RESPONSE MAKES ME SEE RED

Purposefully doing a false arrest, and then smearing the target in the newspaper as a “violent savage,” just as a distraction tactic? Not a thought to how giving the guy an arrest record and A RACIST ARTICLE ABOUT HOW EVIL HE IS would affect this guy’s life??

But worst of all is Holmes fucking patting this guy on the back like it was some brilliant noble maneuver when it’s nothing more than police abuse. This is such a kick in the teeth to the Holmes that’s critical of the police and against the arrest of innocent people like we see in other stories. And the casual racism through the entire story really drives home the source of this glaring blind spot.

Your life isn’t a “lie”… you probably don’t have the “exact same hair colour as Arthur.”

A lot of people clearly didn’t listen to me when I mentioned that photobleaching from constant sun exposure is a thing and that Arthur has literal photos IN GAME of him with brunette hair in his youth. But since we’re lazy and lacking in research skills here’s the definition…

Genetically speaking Arthur has a very Celtic look to him as he is heavily based on Roger Clark’s appearance (who is Irish) and the origin of his last name “Morgan” originates from Wales (another Celtic ancestral hotspot). As an Irish woman myself I can say that a fair few of us from those ethnic groups tend to either start out with dark looking hair and have it go lighter over time or vice versa.

Call me nitpicking or whatever, I’m aware this is just a fictional character and it literally is NOT that deep but it’s hard when people refuse to research or use an ounce of inference to guide fan related content, start stupid debates that can be easily settled or even send me dumb shit like this anon question in my inbox…
