jb and his politics pissed me off bad i forgot to even dive deep into the kastle of it all now that the special episode is out and more so looking ahead towards the future of kastle. regarding that, i think its safe to say nothing is set in stone except for the indisputable fact that frank loves her and karen loves him. he yearns for her, to the point that he imagines her wearing his wife’s clothes and embracing her close to near point of kissing her, that was the loudest subtext i have seen in a hot minute. karen, while “currently” in a relationship with matt, also has extremely strong feelings for frank and gets visibly touchy whenever someone insinuates or invokes his name negatively in front of her (matt and heather in pivotal scenes in ddba s2). it would not be a stretch to say that karen doubtless has feelings for both matt and frank.

unfortunately for shippers, some of you have to broaden your understanding of what a canon ship is. i think marvel wants to have their cake and eat it too, when it comes to the two camps of karedevil and kastle. she’s canonically in love with matt and in a relationship with him and also canonically has feelings for a frank and has for a very long time. both of these facts can coexist. realistically, i don’t see advancement in frank and karen’s material and physical relationship. optimistically, i will wager that they will share the screen at least one or two more times but no grand showing of feelings will happen. i think what needs to happen to solidify kastle is that frank needs to be privy to karen’s personal life. he needs to know that beyond her understanding and empathy for him, she is so much more like him than he thinks AND that she can rely on him to be there for him when it counts. that would require a huge shift of attention onto karen herself and her interiority as a character and meaningful development that she hasn’t gotten since the original series, which i don’t exactly see will ever happen if the currently writing in Daredevil born again is the standard. this is just my opinion and how i have analyzed that show and their characters and their preexisting and current relationship standpoint.

I love how people in mdzs are like ooooh ghost flute Chenqing aaaaah so scary but this flute. Has teeth marks from a child on it. Wei Wuxian aka Evil Yiling Laozu takes care of a child and lets him teethe on his Scary Demon Ghost Flute. And then in tgcf they’re like ooooh E’ming, Evil Deadly Scimitar, aaaah don’t touch it or even get near it!!! But then Xie Lian goes and pets it and it squeals with delight at the attention.

i think one of the things i really love about alex albon is how much he genuinely loves thailand, and how much they love him back. like i think you can tell how special he is to thai fans and also how much he loves spending time there and talking about it. and just to get personal and a bit deep about it here, im essentially in the same situation as him, thai mum, british dad, grew up in the uk and never got taught a word of thai. and i always thought that made me less thai in a way. i barely even went there throughout my childhood and i wanted to know it and embrace it but i never thought i could, i never thought i was allowed to claim that part of my identity because i didn't "deserve it." and i guess it just makes me so happy and proud to see someone like me being wholeheartedly embraced by thai fans and also genuinely caring and wanting to be in touch with his thai heritage as well as his english one.
