A little bit about opera

I was watching "MASTERMIND" and for a moment I was wildly amused by the realization that Blitz is Pushing the door trying to open it. And it suddenly opens the other way.

Then I looked at it again and realized that it wasn't funny because the door opens in both directions, but...

All the time I was thinking that Blitz was just pushing the door in the wrong direction, a passage from Terry Pratchett's book "Maskerade" was playing in my head:
