how to manage your time better- itsbriestudies
remember this: time is your most valuable source so spend it wisely.
these tips have helped me balance out my schoolwork,after school activities, and my free time. so hopefully they help you guys out too! my sleep schedule has been pretty constant. there are nights where i get 8 hours of sleep :o i know shocking lol. i used to be a superrr lazy potato. i mean i still am to some extent but i even have time to just chill.
keep this in mind- I take pre-ap and ap classes, am apart of multiple school clubs, and i am one lazy potato.
1. do work in advance. if you have any spare time in class or anywhere, start on your work. if you receive projects ahead of time, finish them. then you don’t have to worry about them anymore. also, ask your teachers if there is any homework or assignments you can do ahead of time. this will help tremendously trust me.
2. start working as soon as you get home. take a little break to change and rest a bit after a long day of school or work. but then, start your work. if you end up taking like 3 hours watching some show, you’ll probably be stressed and end up staying up. help yourself you guys.
3. avoid ALL distractions (put away your phone). do not use your phone or any of your electronics if its gonna distract you into not doing anything. download forest or some app that blocks any apps that might prevent you from being productive. if that is still too easy to access, throw your phone away haha just kidding. instead, place your phone in a faraway place because you’ll probably get too lazy to go get it and finish your work instead (thats what i would do at least lol)
4. set the right goals and stay dedicated. i tend to write down goals that i would like to accomplish monthly which helps me stay determined to achieve them. so, take out some paper and write some life goals down. if that doesn’t help you and you love proving people wrong, get a friend to mock you and say that you can never achieve your goals. and then prove them wrong. lol that was really precise but im one of those people so here you go anyways.
5. prioritize tasks. this mainly depends on you by the way. number your assignments based on easiest to hardest and by how fast you can finish it. personally, i like to do my easiest and quickest schoolwork because its easy to accomplish which makes me feel good. also, i accomplish more things quickly so then i can have a good amount of time to complete the difficult stuff.
6. use a planner or bullet journal. i find writing down what i have to do and when its due very helpful. some people prefer using a planner while others depend on a bullet journal so i included both options. but overall, just have a to do list so you can have a general idea of what you have to do.
7. give yourself deadlines to avoid procrastination. instead of driving yourself insane and stressed out as heck, give yourself deadlines. decide certain times to finish assignments by which will lead you to compete against time to hurry and finish tasks. however, do your work accurately and do not just rush and bs your way through lol. unless its necessary, then go right ahead. no ones stopping you.
8. set aside to take some necessary breaks. do your work but don’t forget to take care of yourself. if you need a reminder, message me lol i’ll take care of you if you need a friend and ur stressed. anyways, remember to eat and drink water you guys. your body is trying its best to keep you alive so do your body a favor and take care of it. take a break if your mental health is not okay as well. watch some funny videos, talk to some friends, just do something to de stress. school and grades may seem very important but your health should be your main priority.
