he talks about how his brother has been annoying him a little bit, but also about how he loves him so much but he’s afraid to admit that to anyone because he’s afraid of it being used against him

he talks about still feeling like the odd one out on the team because a lot of the others are still bitter with him about the Battle of New York

sometimes he talks about how much he’s missing his mother lately

sometimes he talks about how shitty his father made him feel, still makes him feel sometimes

you offer comfort and consolation, when you’re prompted

but mostly, you just let him talk until he doesn’t have anything else to say

and once the pizza is gone, or boxed up to take back home

you just give him the longest, warmest hug

and remind him that everything’s going to be okay

that it’s okay to tell his brother he loves him sometimes

that the team will come around in time

and that his past does not dictate his future

and he thanks you for the company

and for the food, because Loki actually loves pizza once he’s introduced to it

and he’s a lot more at ease by the time you get back to the compound
