Just to rant for a sec about my writings: boy do I ever have a type.

Ive been very slowly working one these two projects for a bit and they both feature a man of faith that has given his whole life and personhood to his god that ultimately rejects/abandons him and he later regains his faith and peace through finding his perosn (to varying degrees of success).

And I know it's the ex catholic in me but that priest, paladin, knight character type just being torn apart trying to gain the love of a god that's just never going to give it to them makes me lose my damn mind. Like they are so ready to sacrifice their whole life for their faith/god and they're thrown away or over looked so easily. Love only has ever felt like giving.

And the pieces are both very different in tone. Like ones a fantasy/romance and the other's horror. But they still feature that character navigating their deep rooted abandonment/self worth issues with the earnest love they have for their person. I'm just so taken with what a horrifically intimate and painful process that is. Like a love to strong in brings you closer to your humanity. End me now I cannee take it

Even for fic like, def one of the reasons I'm foaming at the mouth of Zevlor and Gale. Let me love these self sacrificial losers jeezum crow.
