I hate the "making Eloise be Queer would be too much stereotypical" discurse. I fucking hate it, why being close to the stereotype of something is so bad??? As long as it's made in a respectful way and not to mock the stereotype, there are literally zero problems to that. That's how things are in real life, there are people who don't look or act stereotypically queer and are queer, as well as people who look and act stereotypically queer and are indeed queer. Why just one of those should be represented in media???? That's just bullshit.

Ofc I'm not saying that to say Eloise should be "the queer one" instead of Francesca because I also think "the queer one" is another bullshit. Why does it has to be a queer one (or two since we already have Benedict)? Why not three???? I know I already made a post about this like, a million times, and people must be tired of reading me yap nonstop about it. And I also know that is too late for Eloise and they already stated she will maintain Phillip as her love interest. And I doubt they will make her ace, or bi. But I will keep bringing this up, because I don't think we should limit representativity that way. Shows and movies shouldn't just collect tokens like "this is the gay one, this is the lesbian one, this is the black one, this is the disabled one, this is the asian one..." and goes on, we already have Glee, we already have this all through 2000s and 2010s media. That's why I will keep bringing this up, and I'll keep campaigning for a third queer Bridgerton besides Fran and Benedict. If not Eloise, than give us Hyacinth or Gregory too!

Finale spoilers:

I think the finale tried to tie every character in a wholesome bow. And, to be fair, it was kind of sweet. They did have some queer rep. I love Robin, we saw her and Vickie, and Will is officially out.

But also. What the fuck are they trying to say.

Not even in a bad way. Just, media isn't progressive (in my opinion) if it's trying to make everyone happy.

A lot of queer creators know that they, by default, cannot make a swath of bigoted audience members happy. So, by default, we tell stories we need to tell. Stories we are dying to tell.

I don't think the Duffers are bad storytellers, or have even done a massive disservice to the queer community (Kali's representation is a whole other can of worms). I just think the Duffers didn't have a story they were dying to tell by season 5. And were trying to make everyone pleased.

It's not awful, but it comes across as neutral, bland, and a little disappointing in a political atmosphere where many people without privilege cannot afford to be neutral.

So, my review, is, uh, it was fine.

LET ME PUT MY OPINION OUT THERE.

The hate on Paula is atrocious, let me tell you. The worst thing she has ever done was chest on 2D. The interview with Paula was edited heavily by Murdoc. Paula isn't as well known, only known for yk cheating on 2D.

Murdoc has: Killed 2Ds girlfriend by putting her in a box for SEVEN YEARS under 2Ds bed, he has been known to like them younger. He has done many disgusting acts, including the abuse of 2D and Noodle has witnessed this domestic abuse in front of her which isn't appropriate for a ten year old to see.

Guys WDYM you're gonna hate on Paula but not Murdoc. I Love Murdoc and Paula, so don't hate on me. It just seems sexist.

There was also somewhere Murdoc stated he liked 16 year olds, but I can't find that. But very strange.
