My temple recently enacted a policy where we reserve the first row of seats in the chapel for people with disabilities or who need more time to get to the endowment room, and you would not BELIEVE how many people get offended and argumentative when asked to move one seat back. Like bestie you’re going to get in I promise, I get that you “always sit there” but maybe the 90-year old lady with a walker and oxygen tank needs it more than you, hm?
The hate on Paula is atrocious, let me tell you. The worst thing she has ever done was chest on 2D. The interview with Paula was edited heavily by Murdoc. Paula isn't as well known, only known for yk cheating on 2D.
Murdoc has: Killed 2Ds girlfriend by putting her in a box for SEVEN YEARS under 2Ds bed, he has been known to like them younger. He has done many disgusting acts, including the abuse of 2D and Noodle has witnessed this domestic abuse in front of her which isn't appropriate for a ten year old to see.
Guys WDYM you're gonna hate on Paula but not Murdoc. I Love Murdoc and Paula, so don't hate on me. It just seems sexist.
There was also somewhere Murdoc stated he liked 16 year olds, but I can't find that. But very strange.

I also watch this one person on tiktok that explains it well, better than me: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8GMfjt6/ ; check out their videos. However, I wouldn't take them as seriously as the other evidence I provided
NOTE: I DON'T SHIP 2D AND PAULA. I dislike that ship, not am I defending Paula not Murdoc's actions. But I'm just saying how hypocritical it is to like one but not the other.
Toodles! Don't take whatever I said too seriously; remember this IS fictional characters afterall. NOT REAL PEOPLE. I am not looking for an argument, I am just sick of this Paula propaganda.
It would make sense to me for people to be upset about someone headcanoning a canonical trans character as cis, the part that's confusing me is calling it disgusting to headcanon a transfem as transmasc instead. (Or vice verse)
Sure, representation erasure, but it's a trans character in both situations and if it's handled well it is still representation, but in a way that allows even more people to connect with the character.
Hello there. I wanted to respond to this particular reblog of the "it's okay for transmascs to headcanon canonically cis characters as transmasculine" post (because I love to think about gender in fiction), but wanted to do it away from the original post (I do not need to get involved in public fighting), so have chosen to do it here.
The crux of the issue is that, while trans experiences are similar, a character being canonically trans, if done well, will also make a specific subset of the trans experience canon. Transmasc coding and transfem coding generally speaking will have different indicators (so you can yk actually identify which is which) and authors who are familiar with trans experiences will use them. Choosing to ignore one experience in order to push another "because they are both trans" then 1) ignores these indicators, which is bad practice when it comes to analyzing fiction 2) far more importantly conflates these specific subsets of trans identity as being "the same," is inaccurate, insulting to real peoples lived experiences, and ignores the social realities of the patriarchy (or more generally, social gender roles) sucking major ass.
I do not believe that this means that you must treat all trans characters as binary until proven otherwise/can't have fun with the specifics of your gender head canons for canonically trans characters. Just that you should 1) keep in mind the intended direction of the characters transness 2) respect it 3) building off of/deviating from the canonical answer (ex: uhh the character is transfem) while accounting for canon evidence (awful relationship with masculinity, likes fem clothing) and not outright contradicting it (headcanoning character as a neopronouns user).
Hullooo! So actually I already had my general confusion mostly cleared up over here, but I do appreciate more attempts to help.
Accounting for the fact I am incapable of emotional and general empathy (this whole situation is an attempt at cognitive empathy) and do not care strongly in any direction, so I am looking at this purely logically, going off of this argument makes it seem nonsensical to get mad at people for headcanoning a trans character as anything else, while expecting people to just accept when a cis character is headcanoned as trans or genderswapped.
A cis character will have gender coding and indicators specifically towards their cis gender, and choosing to ignore those would be the same bad practice at analyzing fiction. As well as insults anyone who may associate with that characters cis gender and experiences.
That's to say, I think people should be allowed to do whatever they want with the characters, and if people don't like that they should just block them or engage in some type of conversation with them to talk about the subject in a non-argumenative way. And that if they do block them, they shouldn't continue to insult and call that person disgusting over the gender of a fictional character without actually trying to explain why that is different then what they were originally implying first.
Because all I'm getting from this is that people are allowed to headcanon a gendered character as trans in any direction regardless of anything, but it's "disgusting" or a moral failure of some kind to headcanon a trans character as another gender or direction. And every continued explanation just feels like people are saying the same hypocritical point like it's not a double standard they want to be accepted because trans people need more awareness. Which I'm not saying isn't valid or a fair point, I'm just saying that how it keeps coming across to the logic in my brain.
Sometimes a member of your group or community or whatever is a dick. Sometimes they're straight up fascists. Sometimes they're gonna be the worst person in the world that you're aware of.
Please understand that you are not helping ANYTHING if you defend that person from legitimate criticism by calling those complaints anti-you-ism. Whether its trans or gay or Jewish or whatever, if a trans person goes on TV to let everyone know that Hitler was a great dude, do not say that people horrified by that are transphobic. If a gay dude thinks women should be sexually trafficked, it's not homophobia if I want to choke that guy. If a Jewish person is out there pushing for laws that would put minorities into slavery for white supremacy, I am not being antisemitic when I tell you I hope he fucking dies.
This isn't a discourse post, this is a fucking callout. STOP FUCKING DOING THIS. You do not have to defend the indefensible. Milo Dopplepopolis or whatever is not worth fighting for. Caitlyn Jenner will feed every one of you into a woodchipper if it keeps her comfortable. Jared Kushner? I don't even wanna talk about him. Defending any of these people makes it look like your entire community agrees with them.
with legitimately all due respect to the asks in my inbox and the people in my notes, I’m not going to continue in a back-and-forth. Here are my reasons!
I didn’t intend to start a debate; there are reasons I haven’t hopped in on them before.
I’m already in contact with several convents, and I fully intend with all my being to join one as soon as I possibly can, which means I’m probably not even going to vote in any elections. Convents accept postulants/novitiates at 18. I will not be out in the world.
There are lots of other people on this site who have more resources than me and will be able to answer your arguments better. I believe what I believe, and I’m not going to change that. Some of you have (accurately) remarked that my brain isn’t even fully developed—which is true! So go argue with someone whose has.
The asks I responded to were me intending to defend my beliefs, which is an obligation of mine. Changing your beliefs is not, and I never intended to try. There are other people for that.
I fully believe that you all are acting according to what you believe is true, right, and good, and I am doing the same. Please pray for me. I’ll pray for you. But I will not debate you.
TL;DR: please yall I just want to say my little prayers and go be a nun but you’re making me feel morally responsible for all of your conversions
