It’s such a simple touch but I really enjoy seeing the sun after.. well, everything. It’s a really nice nod that yes, things are looking good again now, and it’s all thanks to Sakura. She fought to make this world inhabitable again, and all these people are surviving thanks to the sacrifice she made. (And let’s just hope no-one comes back here looking for the feather she left behind)

Also on a metaphorical level? Even the worst storms will pass eventually. It doesn’t mean they don’t hurt you in the process, because they can hurt you a lot, but you can survive and come out on the other side. You will see the sun again, even here.

There’s a also nice inversion here in regards to the medicine. When they first showed up they refused to treat Syaoran for his wounds - even though Kamui caused them, by their own admission - because their supplies were scarce. Now we’re in the reverse scenario where not only have they treated everyone’s injuries, but they’re apologising for not being able to fix the more extreme ones. I have no idea how they thought they were going to replace an EYE in the first place, but still, the sentiment is nice.
