This year I welcomed the new year sat on my own with a bottle of prosecco and a fucking massive bag of doritos. I still don't know if I am proud or very sad.

Clearly there is some massive conspiracy against me. Someone is paying actors to act completely in love all around me to try and drive me insane: The couple wetly smooching on the train (it’s rush hour! No one does that for real). The two hipsters giggling and whispering in the theatre next to me. The dad playing with their baby in the pram whilst his beautiful wife got to sit down on the tube. The elderly couple trying to remember the last time there were both out so late (2 yrs ago for Janet’s 70th but he’d been to that thing in Brighton last year and had had to catch the last train which was later). Two girls affectionately fixing each other’s fringes and holding hands. I mean could it be any more obvious! These undercover actors need to be more subtle if they want to try and make me feel completely paranoid and alone. Pfft!
