“You know I didn’t bring you here because I thought you’d try.” He shook his head and for a few seconds pressed down even more. He did think (though he wouldn’t admit it) that kurt had been doing a little better than the first time, but he still had a long long way to go. He sighed, then finally withdrew his weapon and took a step back, just to give him a little extra space to move.
“Get up. We’re doing it again and this time I don’t want to hear a peep from you. Understood?”
Kurt lingered on the ground just a few moments after he’d been instructed to stand, erring on the side of caution. But, soon enough, he did stand, retrieving the scimitar that he could never seem to hold just right, never seem to find the right balance. Just holding it was beginning to be a frustration.
“...Understood.”
Resumed the stance he’d been taught, feet far apart, knees bent low, tail used for balance and to twist his movements. He took deep breaths, steadying himself... and lunged forward. No battle cry from his lips this time.
