Imagine Ian McKinley staying with you to protect you from death.
Ian was usually the most rational, well-thought person that you knew. When the two of you started dating, he told you straight up that he wasn’t going to promise to marry you since the two of you were just teenagers and the relationship would probably end after you graduated and went your separate ways to college. But two years earlier, and with graduation around the corner, you were still going strong.
So when the two of you found out that Death itself was creeping upon you because you got off the stupid roller coaster, Ian’s reaction had you more surprised than the news initially had.
You were the next in line, and Ian was doing everything that he could to stop it from happening. He stayed over at your house every night, staying up until the morning hours in case an intruder came in during the night. The only time you could get away was to use the bathroom - but in most cases, he showered with you which was just fine.
“Okay, so what if you wear a stupid helmet or something, that way when we get food, if there’s an accident...”
“I’m sure there’s a way a helmet could kill me, Ian.” You said, sitting him down on the couch to talk. “I love you, and I know you love me, but this is getting ridiculous. Everyone is going to die someday, and I’d rather you not see it happen to me.”
