“You should get some chickens.” He suggests, scooping one up into the palm of his hand. He nuzzles the tiny bird against his cheek, bumping his nose against the chick's beak, and then drops it into Dean's unsuspecting hands. “Wha- I don't need chickens,” Dean protests, blinking down at the ball of fluff cooing gently between his palms. “You need eggs don't you?” Castiel counters, bending to pick up two more chicks.
Me, A Masochist
SO... yeah donate & volunteer with IAPW. I'm going to start sharing info about the organizations I favor regularly & self-rebloging those posts so you know, people actually see them.

Prince school to be built in Malawi
IAPW Founder, Manuela Testolini, announces that school to be built in honor of late former husband, Prince, will be constructed in Malawi.
Malawi, a landlocked country in southeast Africa, is home to nearly 14 million people. It is one of the most densely populated and least developed countries in the world. Malawi claims one of the highest rates of HIV/AIDS, with 15% of adults age 15-49 already infected, and a growing number of children orphaned by this disease. The vast majority of people live in rural areas in community where up to 90% of adults are unable to read and write. Malawi is also a country rich in history, culture and MUSIC. Plans are for the school to break ground in July.
IAPW is helping break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy by constructing and renovating schools in the world’s most economically poor countries. IAPW has funded the construction of 22 schools thus far. The school in honor of Prince will be the 3rd IAPW school in Malawi, and the 23rd school overall.
Projects: Or a Handy Guide to my Pretentiousness
Most of you that follow me do so because of my original posts regarding Buddhism. Lately, I haven't been posting as much about Buddhism and this is a trend I expect to continue. This is not the result of waning interest or practice, it is actually the direct result of the opposite. I'm too busy learning to adequately present myself as some kind of authority. I have discovered that volume of my ignorance is vast indeed, and for now I'm going to specifically avoid trying to fill that space with the sound of my own voice. This is not to say I won't be posting about Buddhism, I will, I just won't be doing it as frequently. I recently begun practice with a new Sangha, and thus far it has enhanced my practiced and added a new level of depth; I intend to explore this for the time being.
That said, I will shift focus somewhat and post more about my various projects I'm working on, most of which are of a literary nature. You can expect more posts on writing -the process, etc, and more posts OF writing as I leak samples of my various works.
Back in the day. In a perfect world.. shoot probably.
Musing and other vain pursuits
Apparently I'm writing two novels, at the same time.
They are vastly different too. I may focus on one over the other, using the stand-by project as a change of pace from the primary one.
Rotational writing if you will.
I was working a novel that was a twist on the guy meets girl, in a very confusing way.
Now however, I've started working on a another project that's a meditation and celebration of life through the perspective of dying.
I think I'm going to work on the latter for now.
