Day 2 of the International Animal Rights Conference 2017. Looking forward to another day of inspirational talks, and hope to be a speaker myself at this great conference not too far away in the future. I am not sure that I have expressed this often enough, but to me animal rights are deeply intertwined with human rights, and specifically women's rights. Most of the animals that are exploited for their natural gifts that are meant to bring creation into this world, like milk, and eggs, and eventually their whole bodies, are female. I don't think there is a way to be a true feminist, or a humanist for that matter, when continued to consume eggs and dairy. This is the very foundation of that which makes a female animal (including human animals) that which she is; a mother, a creator, a nurturer. Her milk is meant for her babies.. and she only gives milk after she has had a baby.. , her reproductive organs which pass eggs as a part of a menstrual cycle, whether fertilized or not, are an inherent natural phenomenon only intended for the females of the species (there are exceptions of species which are Hermaphrodit, however even in those cases it is never solely the male.) I used to think that I was a feminist when I was a vegetarian and consumed these products. I was stupid, ignorant, and naive.. but when you know better, you do better. ✌️☘️🌱💟 #compassion #compassionoverkilling #vegan #vegansofig #iarc2017 #Luxemburg #vagansofinstagram #vegansofig #veganschweiz #feminism #humanrights #animalrights #womensrights (hier: Esch-sur-Alzette)
