As much as I find those accounts entertaining, they grew to annoy the hell out of me since I saw some fans taking them seriously and hurting when they're not what they want to happen. I wish they stop feeding people lies and manipulating them.

Hii! Thank you so much! I was out all day long yesterday and lost many things. I agree with you, this is just getting too difficult and heavy to bear. I get the need to know things in such a complicated moment, but this is not how it works, sadly. If anyone was ever to possess some helpful and juicy info, the last thing they’d do would be start a twitter/tumblr account and share them, possibly even adding why or how they were able to get said info. I have indeed found some particular accounts who were blatantly sold misleadind but eventually confirmed narratives and what stood out to me the most was how the account owner themselves were honestly believing what they were told and didn’t mean to have fun with the fandom. I found those pretty interesting.

As far as I know, there was no official announcement that 1D contract expires in March. It was just the Sun reporting that and we know better than to give Dan more credits that he deserves. But then it spread like fire in the fandom. Everyone believes them to leave SyCo by March. That doesn't explain why Simon had started his sabotage agenda NOW and not when the time is close. That makes me think their contract was not bound by time but by albums. 5 albums and they're out instead of fixed date.

I believe people thought March because of the announcement of the hiatus, I’ve never been super convinced by that, but I do think their contracts will expire by March.

One thing I’m curious about is if their individual X-Factor contracts still hold. I believe that they guaranteed Syco/Simon a percentage of earnings for a number of years. I may be misremembering this but I think there was something along those lines? 

So it seems possible to me that Simon is trying to devalue 1D to force them into solo career, from which he’ll continue to gain a percentage.

Would their One Direction contract have negated their individual contracts?

Comment: A wolf!au fic. The whole story is well written and everything falls perfectly in place. It's quite an emotional roller coaster ride but all's worth it till the end. Definitely a must-read!!!!
