Symbolic/Metaphorical Breakdown- (some of this is deep, some is just bullshit my autistic adhd mind thought up on a whim)

-This animation is from Kwazii's POV

-Cards:

•Barnacles is the King. He's the center of Kwazii's world. He's brave, smart, an amazing leader, somewhat physically intimidating, all things a good king should be. And Kwazii desperately wants to marry him~

•Tweak is the Queen. She's like a sister to Kwazii.

She's his best friend, and he trusts her completely. She's intelligent, fun, kind, a bit snarky, and a total girlboss. We love women in STEM

•Shellington is the Jack. There were no other options, and it just felt fitting.

•Peso is an Ace. I headcanon him as asexual. I giggled when I first thought of this.

•Dashi is a ten. Do I need to say anything more?

-Octonaut Designs:

•Shellington's hair is just below shoulder length. It's in a bun, a normal bun NOT a man-bun. Shellington is an individual of culture he would never stoop that low.

•Dashi's hair is textured she's our frizzy haired princess

•Peso's feathers are a little messy cause when you had to save a dying sea creature at 2:47 in the morning no one can really say anything about how you look

•Shellington would have had eye bags but I decided to be nice and keep them out of the simplified card design

•Tweak is wearing her favorite overalls they are covered in grease stains

-Betting Chips:

•The betting chips are supposed to symbolize what Kwazii is willing to lose to protect the other Octonauts

• Love

• Wealth. Kwazii would love to sit upon a throne of plundered gold and jewels and money like the pirate king he could be. But to do that, he would have to leave the octonauts. And that's not worth

•Himself. The hesitation was purposeful. Kwazii had to think before putting this chip down. It was a hard conclusion to come to- that he would lay down his remaining lives for these people. He'll never admit it though.
