Canine representation in the work of Nina Chanel Abney, as currently exhibited at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles
My ‘antique chihuahua’ as part of the Getty Research Institute’s ‘Grandfather: A Pioneer Like Us’ exhibit. The exhibit is a recreation of curator Harald Szeemann’s exhibit from the 1970s recreating his grandfather’s apartment/ beauty salon. It’s currently at The Institute of Contemporary Art and will be traveling around the world. Bon Voyage, little dog.

Magic Rainbow Slurpee | Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles INCOGNITO 2020 | Gregory Siff
I’m happy to support and exhibit at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles INCOGNITO 2020 this year. This piece, Free Slurpee Day, 2020, sold at the legendary benefit art sale where nearly 400 established and emerging artists contributed 12 x 12 inch original works. We were not allowed to sign the fronts so people chose by the feeling of the piece. Participating artists included Kenny Scharf, Ed Ruscha, Bill Barminski, Augustine Kofie, Patrick Martinez, Andy Moses, Moncho 1929, Bisco Smith, Cole Sternberg and many more. Thank you Cindy Schwarzstein, Shana Nys Dambrot, 4AM Gallery and the ICA LA for including this piece. To support and find out about other aworks from the show reach out with any questions at [email protected]
6° is a single-day, virtual symposium bringing together six L.A. non-profit art organizations.

Had the pleasure this week to return to @theicala and paint their entrance. This bright and dusty yellow with clean black lines make a nice art piece within itself don’t you think?
