Chestnut-Mandibled Toucan for my very good friend @vargasdomesticus She was kind enough to loan him to The Huntington Library for the recent exhibit I did with them. Now, this Toucan has his very own perch complete with faux-fruit in Cortney’s home. Anyone have name ideas for him?
My ‘antique chihuahua’ as part of the Getty Research Institute’s ‘Grandfather: A Pioneer Like Us’ exhibit. The exhibit is a recreation of curator Harald Szeemann’s exhibit from the 1970s recreating his grandfather’s apartment/ beauty salon. It’s currently at The Institute of Contemporary Art and will be traveling around the world. Bon Voyage, little dog.
Completed Great Horned Owl Taxidermy for The Audubon Society. Did you know Owls have stealth feathers? Their flight feathers have micro-structures that reduce noise and allow them to be silent flyers. This way they can catch their prey unaware. So, they’re pretty deadly fluff-balls.
