With the streets finally rid of moronic hunters, it was time for Rook to kick back and relax.

Indeed, there isn't a better season for a fire user than an unforgivably hot Summer. While most couldn't wait to jump in a swimming pool, or at least looked for some shade, she was perfectly content taking a nap on the roof along with Errol.

It would be such a shame if someone were to interrupt her sunbathing session.

It all happened so fast that Eule had barely time to send the barn owl away before she got herself trapped... somewhere... by something? And it took the spirit another moment to reconnect with the fled bird to be able to see what exactly had trapped her. A hand closed around her. A giant one. That belonged to someone who she had actually met before. How bothersome...

" What... are you doing? "

The woman asks Shade, even though she wasn't sure he could even hear her voice given that she was trapped in his hand. Like an insect caught with bare hands. And even though her voice didn't showed it, it made Eule feel uneasy to be in this situation.

" This is... very impolite... "

She mumbled while the owl, that served as her eyes, actually started to peck his hand. It probably won't do much, but at least it was trying.

Leondas stirred at the scent of something tantalizing, awaking entirely when he heard a voice speaking to him. Eyes snapped open. Before he could find himself startled by Shade's sudden appearance, he was entranced by the mortal being dangled before him. His pupils shrank.

Silently he watched the human being held so precariously - hypnotized. His stomach grumbled and his teeth ached in his gums. A clawed hand began to reach for it, but ultimately paused.

Surely he was not being given such a treat - not without a price. His features hardened as he finally pried his gaze away, scrutinizing Shade carefully as he wiped a bit of drool from his lip.

It had been a relief to get home. He could drop the 'crime lord' act in the safety of his own apartment. Russell was still kind of reeling from what had happened, and now he could finally process it all.

He had sank into a chair on his balcony with a hot chocolate on the nearby table, Misty on his lap, and the catio up. Despite that however, he still leaned forward a little, burying his face in his hands.

"Ugghhhhh... god-god damnit!"

Morty was still screaming for a good few seconds after he was caught. His hands pressed into the giants hand before he scrambled to his knees. The poor kid was shaken.

"Holy fucking shit" he said "I thought I was going to die. Holy shit. Thank you."

He shifted, looking up to the giant that saved him.

"You have pretty hair."

Alas, those very expressive features had the opposite effect on Bishop, who snorted at the sight despite his best efforts to regain some composure. He hardly felt threatened most of the time, good luck getting him to take it seriously now.

"Why, I was simply appreciating the way you refreshed your look. Those new additions certainly suit you."

He briefly took his shades off to clean the lenses on a corner of his shirt.

"Anyways, how did you even get yourself in this situation and would you like me to fetch you some catnip?"

He hasn’t had this much fun in years.

Oh look! Her 'catcalling' actually worked! Seems like those ears are real cat ears! She still thinks it's funny. Her laughing turned soon into chuckling though, and she grins at the giant.

" Heh, vell yeah! I do believe I can be quite funny if I vant to~ Now, vho stepped on your tail today, huh? Or have you decided zhat zhose vould suit you? "

And again, she chuckled.

" Vhat game? Cat and mouse? Come on, Shade! You should laugh about zhis! I doubt it's permanent, right? "
