(A random thing I’ve tried to write a couple times and now I’m doing it at 2am. Potentially self indulgent and saucy under the cut if I decide to do it)

Walking down the street to that truck felt oddly surreal. You’d talked to Rick a couple times but today just felt different.

He greeted you enthusiastically as always and gave you your usual with a smile. It felt…wrong.

Thanking him, you started walking away. His lingering gaze burning through your back. Something was just so off about the whole encounter. Usually he was sweet and had an air of innocence about him but today… Granted he hadn’t been rude, but the air was different. It made you anxious. When he smiled, his eyes hadn’t shown it. There was something wrong with them too. Once kind and honest eyes had become darker, hiding something behind a sly and intimidating glare.

You hadn’t seen or heard Rick or his truck in a few days. Maybe that’s why you decided to go on a walk. It was getting dark and usually that’s when he would’ve been in your area.

You had seemingly walked farther than usual as you made it to a part of the street with dark houses and a single streetlight in the distance. Just then, a large truck that wasn’t using its headlights approached.

“Y/N! What are you doing out here?”

You greeted him as he got out of the truck and walked towards you. After a little bit of banter he asked if you wanted a ride home. For some reason you said yes. It almost felt like he’d made that decision for you.

All of the sudden you felt like you were on autopilot. You got into the back of the truck with him, disregarding how odd it was that he hadn’t gone to the front yet. Rick flashed another one of his smiles and said something that you didn’t register. He did however manage to get you sitting on the floor as he kneeled down and leaned in.

Suddenly you came to as his hand slid it’s way up your leg and under your skirt. He repeated himself, he said he’d really liked your brief time together and wanted to get to know each other better. His other hand held your face in place.

With eyes like those, how could you ever say no?

Summer Day HCs with Rick because why not.

He’s weird when it comes to heat. Sometimes he’s hot and other times weather doesn’t exist to him.

Thank gods for the truck. It’s super cold in there, plus you get ice cream.

Goes between teasing you about being hot and complaining that he feels like he’s melting.

Y’all know that face he makes as Caleb walks away from the truck? He’s doing that everytime he has to actually go outside.

Ends up getting a small inflatable pool to put in your yard. After he sets it up, he’s not leaving it.

You’re gonna catch this man wearing khaki shorts.

Doesn’t generally wear sunglasses.

One of the few times that he’s not up to something. It’s too hot for him to care.

He’s always very grateful when the sun goes down. It’s less hot and less bright, it’s a win win.

He’s not going to let you out of being held, even if it is hot in your room.

He was onto you. Maybe you’d gotten a little too relaxed with the slight touches, the lingering looks, or the compliments, because he definitely knew something was up. Which is why you were currently staying in the house.

The jingle from the truck got closer and closed until it stopped. You breathed out slowly and hoped that he wouldn’t notice that you weren’t there today. It’s not like you two were all that close. It was just a casual thing…at least…you think that’s what it is. You hung out around his truck when he was there and yes maybe you did hang out outside of that but it wasn’t anything crazy. You’d like it to be but he probably wouldn’t be interested.

After all he’s handsome, funny, personable, enthusiastic, and he always had time for you. He was just-

Knock, knock, knock.

Hesitantly, you got up to open the door.

“Hey, didn’t see you today and you’ve been acting a little weird lately. Are you ok?”

Oh gods…it’s him… You could lie again but that would probably just perpetuate things. Might as well invite him in and get it off your chest.

They always say that the worst someone can say is “No”. Well, this is worse. He was laughing. Laughing at you. This is absolutely humiliating.

“You really went for the old milk man trope, huh?”

Ouch… That both stung and was just embarrassing.

Noticing your defeated look, he calmed himself down and leaned over to you on the couch.

“I’m sorry, I just thought it was kind of funny. In all seriousness, I enjoy your company and I wouldn’t mind going out sometime soon. Besides,”

His crocodile smile came back, stretching across his pale face as he loomed over you.

“Why not give this town something to gossip about?”

Rick when you’re sick

He’s probably torn between his slight amusement and his actual concern.

He could probably use his “powers” to fix you up but I feel like he’s enjoy seeing you even more helpless compared to him than usual.

Will get you whatever you need, whenever you need it. He can take a break from causing problems for a while. Keeps the universe on it’s toes after all.

Keep waking up during the night? Never fear, Rick is here! He’ll more than likely pull up a chair and read next to your bed so that he can make sure you’re alright.

Needing comfort? Why not, he doesn’t have to worry about getting sick anyways. He’ll lay you back down against his chest and turn on some mind numbing show like one of the millions of zombie housewives shows.

While he’s getting some sick pleasure out of your suffering he still wants to make sure you’re ok. He can be nice when he wants to be and right now, he does.

Rick doesn’t totally see the need but he enjoys it and finds it endearing. He kind of considers it to be an offering type of thing. He’s happy that you’re happy enough with him to do this though. He gets a warm feeling whenever you give him something and say it reminded you of him or a moment you two shared together. He’ll do his best to return the favor, it just might not be in the most conventional way.

Arthur is absolutely touched and happy that he essentially has an unlimited art supply stash because of your affections. It’s really just been him on his own for a long time so everything you do and get him is sincerely appreciated. As a thank you, he’ll make a lot of art with you as the main focus. Granted, he’d do this regardless, but he feels even better about it since he’s using supplies and things you got him to make art of you and him together or just of you alone. Moral of the story, he’s very appreciative!

Rick and Arthur with an s/o who likes to draw on them

Rick doesn’t care too much. He likes when you draw spiders, smiley faces, or ice cream cones on him.

I can genuinely imagine him using some sort of weird power to make the little stick figures or spiders you draw just move around or dance off his hand onto yours.

Side note, he’s got bony hands. Outline the bones. Draw them in even. He likes his hands and he likes them more when you do stuff like that to them.

Chances are that Arthur already does this to you before you even start with him.

He’ll draw anything from something simple to an entire sleeve of crazy stuff he’d seen on his adventures or just thought of.

He really enjoys when you do this to him as well. It helps him stay grounded. He’s partial to large sprawlings anywhere you’d like to put them. The longer you work on it, the less he has to think.

If you did a drawing with a regular black pen or marker, he’ll take it upon himself to fill it all in and shade it too!

It’s all in all, one of his favorite things that you do.
