Minor ID Monster (Fiend Without a Face) Motivation: Make more Critter Type: Id Monster Attributes: Str 2, Dex 4, Con 2, Int 2, Per 4, Will 5 Ability Scores: Muscle 10, Combat 13, Brains 14 Life Points: 8 Drama Points: 0-3 Special Abilities: Invisible (limited use: Negated by higher-than-normal radioactivity), Weakness (can only exist in an area within certain levels of ambient radiation), Special Attack (Brain Grope), Leap 2, Reduced Size 1, Reduced Damage (1/2 Falls), Reduced Attack Damage (1/2), Ranged attacks against it at -1 Penalty, +3 Stealth, +1 melee attacks Name - Score - Damage - Notes Pounce - 14 - 5 - Bash, can grapple Grapple - 14 - None - Grapples target Brain Grope - 12 - 30 - Must grapple the head-first The first ID monsters to appear were very different from later forms. Reliant on background radiation to keep themselves alive, these creatures barely connected with the host minds, only following the urge to make more of themselves. To do this, they wrapped themselves around the neck of a human victim and extract their brains (and upper spine) to create a new one. Because this special attack targets the head, it deals 5 x normal damage. In short, almost instantly lethal.

I saw a post in the Star Trek tag the other day about Forbidden Planet and I couldn’t help but think of Raffi’s comment about Picard.
