When you got with Norton, you had to have known what you were getting into. Everyone in this manor, especially the men, were driven to the damned manor by insecurity, or desperation, Norton was no different. Really he was a very prominent and extreme case of that very thing. He never had much growing up, and that developed into him thinking he wasn’t worth much. He still fought to prove himself— that he had a right to live and exist.

So it was never surprising he didn’t feel he deserved you. He couldn’t provide for you, and he didn’t necessarily balance that out by being emotionally available. He was closed off as they came, rude and harsh and selfish, though anyone had to admit he’d earned that right. It wasn’t uncommon for him to isolate and try and push you away, a desperate attempt to protect both of you. But what scared him more than anything was the thought that it may actually work one day. That one day, you’d determine that he wasn’t worth the trouble. And then it’d be confirmed to him he was worth nothing, and deserved even less.

NORTON CAMPBELL; The Prospector

NORTON swears up and down he's done nothing worthy of him deserving you.

The way your thumb grazes his knuckles in a comforting manner--whether to soothe your own nerves or his is unsure-- but the expression of innocence coated on your face both makes his heart sink to his stomach and gives him butterflies.

You have the eyes of someone who has gazed at few possible traumatic scenarios and the skin of one who not been lashed by the harsh truths of the world. He squishes down his feeling of envy when he feels he's going too far down the rabbit hole of his thoughts.

But now, as he bandages up your wound from the cold Night Watch, he can't help but realize how that weighs you down. It wasn't supposed to be you with the gash in your thigh it was supposed to be the teammate you wasted no time saving. You took a hit for them, and for what? So they could have a futile 5 seconds to run as fast as they could only for the harsh winter wind to yank them back to the hunter? You we're such a fool, having so much faith in these people.

But that's what led you two to become such a power couple. You gave him a chance.

"Norton-"

"Hush up, doll." And you do just that.

He looks angry and you feel nervous because of it.

"I'm sorry for getting injured." You mumble quietly. You don't expect a 'Its fine' or a 'Its not your fault' because this was a rookie mistake and you by no means are a rookie.

He remains silent, finishing up dressing your wound. His gloved hands go to hold your thighs as you sit in some corner of burned down building in the Arms Factory.

"Don't do that again." He states. Its not up for debate and you silently nod, moving to give his forehead a kiss as you steady yourself to get up and work on getting out of here.

NORTON CAMPBELL; Fools Gold (Hunter Identity)

"Hm, shame. Really."

Fools Gold let out a teasing laugh as he shoved you into a chair. He leaned on the wall behind it as you glared up at him. Fools gold clicked his tongue (does he even have one??) and fake pouted, most likely mocking you.

"D'aw, don't look at me like that, Babyface. You wouldn't be like this if you didn't sacrifice yourself for that silly little seer."

At least he was brutally honest.

Your muscles are screaming at you and you can feel them throbbing after you spent the last 2 minutes running and jumping and rolling to get away from him.

He traces your jawline with his pickaxe, you can feel your face heat up as Fools Gold lets out a wheezing chuckle. "All bark huh?"

You try to stutter out a response not until you see the ground beside you break. This was going to take a while.

Comfort Victor with an autistic!S/o headcanons

These will be based around Victor comforting readers based on different things that may heighten autistic people, however, please be mindful that there will be mention of self-inflicted injury as well (as I tend to do that (nail/skin biting), but it does not go into extreme depth)

Victor is a kind and caring young man, being brave enough to rescue animals from fires as well as assist anyone that he comes across who might be having a problem, so when he meets you, he doesn't have a hard time getting along with you due to his quiet nature. Sure, it had been odd at first watching the little mannerisms that you would do, where it be setting the tables up a certain way, or even brushing your fingers across any surface that you came across, but over time he found these little quirks to be adorable.

that isn't to say that he enjoyed all of them; while he could find the more positive ones adorable, whenever he catches sight of you performing something that could hurt you or others, Victor does his best to try and redirect that sort of behaviour to something else, such as he might have you hold Wick and pat him (using his free hands to direct you to pat instead of talking), or he might have you spin around in circles, standing behind you for if you fall so then you won't hurt yourself. He may carry things such as bandages for any self-inflicted injury, or he may carry some stuffed toys or any other sensory object that can better help you get used to environments if he sees you're scared.

if you're being upset by outside stimuli such as light or sound, Victor will do his best to try and understand what's going on and make the environment more calming for you - such as if he notices that something that you're wearing is irritating you, he'll go out of his way to try and find clothes from his own closet that you could wear to try and relieve the irritation, he'll try and learn the textures of certain foods that you enjoy and try and replicate it in other foods that you dislike due to sensory issues so then you can still eat them.

Touch repulsed for a day due to sensory overload? Victor will do his best to try and comfort you in other ways (such as the above), or even writes you sweet letters with all your favourite things inside just to see you smile.

Given that he's very quiet, rant and rave about your interests, he'll listen quietly, even writing a few down to make sure that he remembers them later. Victor will always be interested in whatever you're talking about given that you're his s/o.

Thinking about Marcus with a lover who has learnt they can tease him by doing the pspsps. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they learnt they can point around a laser pointer and he has to fight himself not to react. They’re lucky he loves them or he would’ve had their head by now.

Lily has a reason to keep on going on through this purgatory when you enter the picture.

You are each others rock, constantly cheering each other on

Along with reinforcing your relationship through sweet words.

She's always gonna be there for you, from cuddling in bed to cheering on your cut-up body in a match.

Lily is a bit touch-starved, so the first time you and her hold one another she melts into a puddle and its near impossible to peel her off of you without complaints

When you must leave her on her own (due to a match or other reasons) she'll snoop around your room and wrap your blankets around herself.

You'll find your redhead girlfriend with messy hair, drool from her parted lips falling onto your pillow when you return (if your out for long)

She has a tendency to steal little accessories from you; little rings in your jewelry box or a necklace you left on your nightstand, but if shes feeling daring, a jacket or an acessory from a costume Nightingale gave you

But she wears them with happiness into her next match. Lily claims that she does "1000 times better when shes wearing a good-luck charm fished straight from your closet!!"

You two climb onto the roof to talk about anything on your minds, usually life before the manor.

It usually ends with someone like Naib calling for you two to come down and get back inside lol

Lily's kisses pepper your scrunched up face, like a non-stop onslaught of little kisses. Sometimes, they are on your lips, her arms wrapped around your neck as she closes her eyes and imagines you and her aren't just sitting on the floor of her bedroom in the manor and are instead in the outside world.

She feels overjoyed when shes with you, hand in hand as you walk to your next match together.

Lily feels like she can do anything she puts her mind to when she's right by your side.
