#Repost from @vintageblackglamour ・・・ This is Ida Keeling at age 26 in 1941. Today, she is 102 and a record-breaking runner! Ms. Keeling's daughter Shelley encouraged her to take up running as a way to overcome the depression that set in after the loss of her two sons to drug-related murders. Ms. Keeling, who recently set the world record for 100-104 year olds in the 60m dash, has been running since she was 67-years-old. The New York City native exercises at least three days each week and says adding a little Hennessy to her coffee (or one straight shot) is one of her daily health rituals. She said the cognac aids her circulation or, as she once told the New York Times, "This is putting gas in the car." She talked about the Hennessy and more on the Steve Harvey show a few weeks ago and released her first book, "Can't Nothing Bring Me Down: Chasing Myself in the Race Against Time." #IdaKeeling #HealthyPast100 #vintageblackglamour
