You bit your lip, practically grasping the book in your hands like a lifeline. You hoped he didn't notice you squirm or move an inch.

Nothing very interesting as I'm away from home for the last sitting for my tattoo and without a working iPad, I took a sketch pad to do some rough thumbnails to figure out some ideas. It's a long day tomorrow so rest and relaxation is best the night before and after. Been a loooong time since I drew on paper with pencil but it's nice. Fun to figure out Charlie's hair.

Been throwing ideas around with Fluffy about my Charlie and her Valerian, a couple of our Cyberpunk OCs that we have shared story with, who end up as a couple. Charlie is non-binary and Valerian is a guy, both pansexual. Just needed to start getting this idea out as the other side to a sketch Fluffy did of Valerian. Once the iPad is back, I'll do more ofc but it helps to thumbnail stuff and figure it out. Charlie is a human but has some small exotic type cyberwear such as their ears to give them an elven shape.

Ch 0: An introduction

In the beginning...there was nothing. What followed was a single soul, it shone so brightly and was full of life. The soul continued to do so...until one day the fire began to fade and only darkness remained, but only for a moment. In that same instant, the soul found itself not in the afterlife it knew of, but something much darker, more inky, and almost...like an abyss.

In time, the soul would learn to mold the abyss around it and to form its own environment, a lake...a lake of ash and stone arch trees. How it knew of this...was almost like a dream. Before the soul could go any further, a white light enveloped the lake, as the soul was born into the living world once again and that soul would be...the soul of Nerkie the sableye!
