Idemromantic: someone who can’t distinguish between platonic and romantic attraction but distinguishes between them based on other factors
My Experience: Idemromantic
I know, it’s a big word but let us break it down.
Idem-: the prefix in Latin means “the same”.

My experience
Being idemromantic is interesting to me.
I don’t feel a difference between platonic and romantic attraction. Which makes me aromantic. I don’t feel romantic attraction, at least not in a way that is different than platonic attraction.
I do have a partner, though my attraction to him is the same as my platonic feelings towards my friends.
I still describe my relationship with my partner as romantic because HE feels a romantic attraction for me. This does not mean I internally feel a romantic attraction to him.
If I was in a queer platonic relationship as well I would describe my feelings as platonic towards my queer platonic partner because THEY feel platonic attraction to me. I would not feel an internal difference between my feelings for my QPP and my feelings for my partner.
This is NOT something everyone feels. This is an aromantic spectrum identity. I do NOT feel romantic attraction.
