Edd "Double D" x Eddy from "Ed, Edd n Eddy" and Ruth x Idgie from "Fried Green Tomatoes" are my favorite couples of all time because that's just my favorite ship dynamic:
Shy goody-two-shoes (the one I identify with) x Loudmouth troublemaker. Basically the strait-laced, worried about following the rules, kind, timid, cautious, controlled and reserved person x the rebellious, impulsive, rampant, determined, persuasive, mocker and extraverted person.
And the best part: they both help each other to evolve and grow together through their opposing traits!
The first one helps the other to be more patient, gentle, affectionate, cautious and down-to-earth.
The second one helps the other to be more confident, determined, to loosen up more, get out of their comfort zone and stand up for themself.
I love these two couples with all my heart.
I also like and find it funny how Eddy and Idgie are both the short ones but the determined ones too. Also, I find interesting that in my headcanon, both loudmouth troublemakers (Eddy and Idgie) are gay, and both shy goody-two-shoes (Double D and Ruth) are bi xD
