IJT’s Home for Imaginary Sanses

((Just for fun, I wanted to write about this AU more!

The IB Sanses here would work similarly to the friends in Foster's; they'd become real as soon as their creator decided to have one. And when his creator abandoned him, a Sans would enter a "heartbroken" state. So all of the Sanses in the house would have unzipped hoodies (or something similar) except for these two:

Sansy the Pooh (Mr. Herriman): My Sans, who is nothing like Mr. Herriman. His still-glowing heart is something of a symbol of authority, but he's not much of a leader. He mostly just checks to see that everything's going okay.

Blue (Bloo): The house's newest resident, with a special arrangement that prevents him from being swiped up by any other human as long as his datemate visits him every day. As an Underswap, he takes pride in his adorableness.

But they wouldn't be the only characters. We'd also have...

Sin (Eduardo): A Fell-Novela fusion created to have a tough guy image, but he's the softest skeleton to ever have that red/black color scheme.

Paps (Wilt): It's not the fact that he's a Papyrus that makes him unusual; IF Papyruses are accepted here, too. What's strange is that Paps is completely lacking in that signature self esteem, constantly apologizing.

Temmie (Coco): We're not sure how she got here. She's not even a Sans, or created to be anyone's datemate. But she could be the key to finding out the secret to non-skeleton imaginary creatures.

I noticed something interesting about the main four imaginary characters; they're all examples of unusual cases. There's an IJT's resident who isn't heartbroken, a fusion, a self-conscious Papyrus, and, well...Temmie. This AU is really coming together!

I WILL HELP YOU CHOOSE A DATE, AS WELL AS A LOCATION! AND I’LL KEEP TRACK OF YOUR FINANCES, SO YOU SPEND YOUR BUDGET IN THE SMARTEST POSSIBLE WAY.

ok, so I know the main focus of this blog is Sans, but IF paps is a part of it. And I wanna know more about Paps. like, can he change into other Paps to? since there is a new AiW Sans, Cheshire, would Mad hatter Papyrus be a thing now too? Does IF Paps work the same way as Sans? can you touch him, and what does his heart do, since Sans is a way to show affection?

((I don’t know if I want to confirm there are a bunch of AU IF Papyrus characters, as he’s more of a supporting character here, and adding a bunch of him might be too much to keep track of. But he’s equally as imaginary as Sans is, so he can change size and form as much as he pleases!

In fact, I can picture him becoming a Mad Hatter for fun! Maybe he changes his appearance to match your Sans (or one of your Sanses, if you have more than one) but still acts like his main universe self. Or tries to act like the grim, scary Underfell Papyrus, for example, only to break character when the grim scariness interferes with his friendship duties.

IF Papyrus at least accepts friendly hugs, and as for the heart, I guess touching it conveys…trust? His trait is integrity (because his heart’s blue), so maybe you would rest your hand on his heart when you’re telling him a secret, to let him know you trust him as a friend to keep it.

so, I talk to myself sometimes. (generally when I mess up) and a little while ago my mom heard me talkin' to myself and told me I wasn't allowed to talk to myself anymore and I just said. "... can I talk to my imaginary friend?" - "what?" - "my imaginary friend... Papyrus" - she looked so confused, but ironically she said I could XD, fun little story. so I talk to Paps all the time now

((That is kinda funny. Well, you got permission to talk to your friend now! That’s good! I’m sure Papyrus is always open for friendly conversation, and he can teach himself to understand when you don’t really need him to respond.

And don’t worry; I talk to myself, too. Though a lot of the time it’s more like talking to “no one in particular.” So I don’t mind if someone happens to hear.

I’M ALWAYS READY FOR MAKING PUZZLES! OR SOLVING THEM. ANYTHING TO DO WITH PUZZLES! UNLESS IT INVOLVES DESTROYING THEM. THAT MAKES A BIT UNCOMFORTABLE!

AND, OF COURSE, KICKING SNOW SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT TIME! ESPECIALLY IF IT’S WHAT FRIENDS DO. YOU KNOW I STRIVE TO BE THE GREATEST FRIEND YOU, NO, ANYONE HAS EVER HAD!
