When I travel I always ask for a few additional toiletries then this is what I do when I get home. I take some dollar store loot bags, bundle them up, and give them out to our homeless community. I do this with the stuff the hospitals give me as well (individually wrapped toothbrushes, toothpaste, small deodorant, powder, etc.) then I buy razors, and female sanitary products to add in. When I'm in the financial position to, I also throw in a few bucks or a gift card for food or coffee. People often don't realize that once in your room these unused supplies often go in the trash for liability purposes when we could be giving them away to those in need. It may not seem like much but when you don't have the luxury of showering whenever you want, having a clean shaven face (or legs!), or even a toothbrush and toothpaste for basic hygiene...these are as good as gold! So if you're a frequent traveler I ask that you keep this in the back of your mind. Nearly every community has a homeless population so I suggest you find out where, and put your own care packs together for your community. And if you don't have homeless people in your area, there is always the option to ship your blessing bags making this movement far bigger than us and our immediate area. At the end of the day...
