Hello hello ! 😀

This month is very special to me, it is the 5th anniversary of my cc creation journey ! I remember creating my first cc and instantly falling in love when I saw my own item in game ! Since then, we have been through a lot of packs and I wouldn't be there without you. I really want to thank you all for your kindness, your sweet messages, and your support. I can't wait to get through the next years with you ! 🥰

To celebrate and mark this milestone, I wanted to reveisit my first ever cc pack, with the new skills I have acquired with time. I really like the original one, but we need to admit it's more than outdated now ! So, throught the a two / three parts' set, we will go throught laundy and cleaning items !

I hope you will like the Tidying Up 2.0 version as much as I liked revisiting it !

Realized that pretty much none of my closet sparked joy. Like...a few items and that was it.

Surprisingly they were rlly basic items (a black dress, a black skirt, some bright elastic but cute rust pants) and I realized that they were a totally different style than the rest of my closet 😅 my other clothes were casual, multicoloured and patterned. These are sleek, slightly dressier, and solid colours. So I did some browsing and ordered more solid colour sleek items. Enough to make a small capsule style wardrobe.

I know that it's not usually ideal to buy a bunch of shit after decluttering but I DID and i feel so much better now??????? My clothes spark joy. I get excited to get dressed in the morning. I don't pick something and go ugh what matches this and reluctantly wear the thing I don't like because it's all that matches the item I do like. Like wtffff.

I even splurged and got nice hangers for my new clothes. Since there's less than 40 items, it wasn't as expensive to replace my hangers so I got a 50 pack of gorgeous basic black velvet hangers from Amazon and like???? I feel so luxurious?????????

I kept my other hangers (the plastic kind) so that I can use them to hang dry laundry. And now i do that more. Which is better for my clothes (and wallet 😅) than the machine dryer, AND I don't need to shill out money for a humidifier cause my apartment gets so dry in winter. AND I can more easily hand wash items which is even better for taking good care of them and making them last.

I just like? Love all my clothes now and want to take care of them better than I ever did of my other clothes.

I love how gentle but effective her method is????

Like...every other method I've tried is either harsh minimalist or essentially storage ideas for keeping all the clutter.

Hers is such a perfect mix?? I don't have to keep something just because it's a gift from someone. I dont have to have less scarves I can have as many as make me happy.

And her attitude of joy at the actual work of tidying and organizing. Most attitudes toward decluttering is ugh this part sucks but the result will be worth it. Whereas she inspires me to actually enjoy the process of cleaning itself?? Which seems to help me keep up with it better.

When the house feels off:

We've had the pleasure of a long weekend this week, and it's done great things for my overall demeanor. Lately, I've been feeling so trapped and angry in the house, and after I thought deeply it was easy to see why. The house was clean, but there were things we just don't use crammed in everywhere. It was clean, but not organized or happy.

It was 10pm but already I was committed to fixing the problem. With help from my wonderful husband, about 17 hours, and several breaks, we managed to completely transform the feeling of the house.

Storage areas, closets, under the sinks, everything got carefully sorted and reordered. We changed the flow of the kitchen completely and found much better spaces for things that have sat in one spot for years.

It was difficult and stressful, but so worth it. We ended up with around 10 or 11 bags of just garbage and items that we never even wanted. I can breathe in here again. And that's very important, considering I'm here the most.

I just wanted to share, so that others who share my feelings may have an answer. When the house starts to feel wrong, it's a good idea to start asking yourself what exactly about it is bothering you. We both feel so much better and can actually enjoy our time together more. It was well needed. ❤
