Well well well, wouldn't you know it,I'm experiencing Thoughts again
This time it's about this song:
And TR Sabre
Because this fits him RIDICULOUSLY WELL.
This section reminds me of him at the beginning of his story, maybe the lyrics are even him spitefully looking back on it. Where he just listened to the guidance of whispers and intuition, where that willingness to follow something,ANYTHING,led him to be manipulated by Twisted and Elite. The whispers called him "Sabre",so into the line of Sabres he fell. Worshipping this image of a stranger he could never live up to. One who (if we're thinking about rq Sabre, and correct me if I'm wrong) wouldn't even know this Sabre existed. Wouldn't even know his name, yet this Sabre was expected to live up to the shadow he left behind. What a tragedy. What a waste. What a bitter thing to go through.
Then he gets angry. When he finds out about the multiverse, all the other versions of him, what the original him (rq) did...he starts resenting the idea of "Sabre",these versions of him that got the good luck. He starts hating that hero version of him that doomed him to this fate. Starts hating the god that accidentally created him. Starts wanting to replace him. Or at least tear down every other version of him.
It's time for a new god. Time for entertainment. They need an angel,or... something that looks like it.
Hm,who does that remind me of?
You guys remember how Curse came disguised as Time? :]
I know some people think that Curse was also just manipulating this version of Sabre but I don't know,I struggle to agree with that. Curse worked with him, offered to let Sabre come with him, gave Sabre some of his power and encouraged his violence. And Sabre willingly gave Curse the core and refused to fight him. They had a friendship. Not a healthy or stable or normal one, obviously, but one nonetheless. And I do think Sabre would regard Curse as some sort of angel. Lesser than a god, once trapped under their thumb. Freed only to become more dangerous. It isn't hard to understand why Sabre respects him.
This section is the end of his path,as he walks into the new one. He's sick and tired of being told that he HAS to walk these planned out circumstances because he's "Sabre". Sick of the versions of him that did it right and got good luck. So he'll be evil. He'll be unloved, destruction incarnate. He'll blame everything on the old god that created them.
And he'll be the new one.
