Should they, like do they have an expectation by the fans to conform to what they want, No. But I don't think they're not Allowed to, either. This question requires extending the disbelief that Mary Sues exist and are not just a) cringefail misogyny or b) cringefail shaming of young artists (and it's nearly always one of the two). I used to be of this opinion that Mary Sues were like. a pressing issue and then I grew up. (look at this fool with a background in internet rp)

I don't necessarily know where to start. Ranb is So Flawed. Nothing this man does ends up good for himself nor others, he spends his time monologuing to himself and then lying to others (and sometimes even out loud to himself/the particles) about his feelings. He is incredibly pretentious and his loyalty is Questionable, and though he isn't selfish he believes that the only thing that will help other people are His Solutions. He pretends like he's not flawed, and doesn't let people know more than surface flaws, I guess, but that's like. realistic.

He's liked a reasonable amount for people who don't make enemies, which is Incredibly Deliberate, or else he will be executed by the state. People like him because he is lying to them. Besides, it's not uncommon for people on the server to have a reasonable amount of positive relationships provided you do not provoke other people. There is not a substantial reason to Dislike him. He is intentionally as inoffensive as possible, but it is a Conscious Character Trait. Deliberately contrasted with him having a partnership with Server's Most Wanted Man. (... and the Other Server's Most Wanted Man, at.  at different points.)

i think the fact that luke was desperate to save asch's life and the fact asch was angry enough to want to save luke's is so. asch hating luke's outlook of himself and how others see him was a reaction towards himself, i think. he hated that his own replica would want to die so easily, and saw himself as something so worthless. but luke wanting asch to live was an extension of himself, and it had nothing to do with himself at the same time. i think he found it easier to want to live when he was trying to convince of someone else to do the same, and at the same time its just so in character for him to want to save everyone he can, even if they never got along.

For the stallion novel deconstruction and commentary part its actually good. We got NYY actually have braincells, SHL being a good demon general, generally all female casts have personality (except for LMY and the triplet Daoist nun ... Like I kinda want them to have personality other than fujoshi BUT that means that these for are in for trans experience dont ask me how thats how i was)

But for the male love part ... Like no kidding im aroace that love romance way too much and I've read a LOT of trashy romance novels with shit plot and way too many red flags but reading this ... bro the red flags are so red its black af. All i got was fatherly love from SQQ towards LBH and NOTHING romantic from him. During my reading i was sweating so hard and like "haha man you guys are NOT gonna end up together right? ... Right ?" LBH love for SQQ is creepy, it doesn't matter that he was influenced by Xiu Mo It. Is. Still. Creepy. I thought its gonna be about how he got a family and a commentary on how not all love are meant to be reciprocated. But all I got are this clown costume for being the fool I am 😔

Not to mention most characters are not fleshed out truly. Comparing svsss to MXTX latest work tgcf the difference is HUGE. tgcf focused more in characters development and its genuinely good but svsss have all these potentially interesting characters but wasted it. (I'm mad that we don't have more cucumber plane bros moment)(I'm also mad I don't have more LQG and LMY siblings moment)

Every part if the novel is bad except for Succubi extra and Airplanes extras in the end I didn't even look at B*ngqiu all my eyes have are Liushen and Moshang.

In conclusion: It sucks but like god. It could be good. It didn't. And everyday I am haunted by that fact.
