You couldn't take it. Couldn't take everything. It felt like everything was laying on your shoulders and couldn't breathe. You had to get out. Go anywhere but this school. Needing fresh air.
You found yourself leaving the dorm out of nowhere and walking. You let your legs lead the way. You still kept with all your thoughts though. You hated it.
You could run from anyone, but running away from yourself was hard. Anywhere you go, they were always there. Waiting for you. Hitting you down. Taking your smile away.
You found yourself in a clearing in the woods. The light of the moon shining your view.
It's a new area you've never seen before. You didn't know there was a lake out here. You take a deep breath, breathing the fresh air in.
A small smile appears on your face. You take a stroll around the lake, wanting to find the perfect spot to sit. A great view of everything.
You finally stumble upon a large tree. You go over, sitting against the tree and face the lake. The moon reflected on the lake, giving everything a shine.
The slight breeze didn't bother you. You enjoy the slight coolness. If it takes the bad thoughts away, you would deal with it.
You turn your gaze up to the sky, seeing all the stars nice and bright. You see a few stars making a picture, and you let a slight chuckle.
"Y/N, there you are." You gaze over to see Ace, smiling at you.
You blink a few times, wondering why he's here. You quickly shake your head and smile.
"What are you doing here Ace?" You ask, tilting your head.
"To check on you," Ace says, walking over and sitting down next to you.
You didn't say anything as you gaze back up to the sky. The thoughts start to come back. You quickly shake your head trying to forget about all those thoughts.
Ace notices and also see you start to shake from the coldness. He takes his blazer off and wraps it around your shoulder making you look at him.
"You were shaking Y/N." Ace gives you another one of his smiles.
"Thanks." You speak pulling it close.
You both stay quiet as you guys watched the stairs. You weren't sure why he was here, but enjoying his presence let you relax.
You didn't realize that you rested your head on his shoulder. Ace still said nothing making you wonder why he was here.
"Aren't you gonna ask me why I'm here?" You ask looking at him.
"No." He shakes his head. "You'll tell me when you're ready to talk about it."
You watch him as he watches the sky. You let a smile out and looks back out.
Having his company, him sitting there is all you needed. You enjoyed his company.
You both stayed quiet as you watch the stars. Not caring about anything anymore.
