Driving Headcanons
As someone who has done 10+ Theory Tests, and 3 Practicals, and about 200 hours driving and STILL HASN'T GOT A LICENSE.... I am uniquely qualified.
Kremy:
Hasn't Got A License, Can Drive.
He never needed a license in Agwe, as Remy tended to... waive those issues. He drove from when he was about twelve, able to move and such, but rules of the road? Checking his blind spots?? No.
He is normally a passenger princess, but when he drives, it's because the gang needs to book it, and the only way out is Kremy at the wheel. He's a getaway driver of the highest calibre. He's making turns on one wheel, he's making it through alleys half the size of the vehicle, he's launching it over gaps and potholes like they're perfect road.
Gideon:
Hasn't Got A License, Can Drive.
He's not got his licence, but he's better than Kremy. He never found time to learn more than how to drive his Pa's old truck, and was taken.
Gideon is the main driver of the Krew besides Frost. He's blaring music too loud, but he's less likely to be pulled over. He usually likes to drive because Kremy's in the front seat, and he can keep an eye on him easier. If it means he can occasionally grab on Kremy's leg when missing the gear shift? Well. That's just coincidence.
Frost:
Has Got A License, Can Drive.
Frost learned how to drive in the order, and used to be the safest driver. Nowadays he sits in the back seat and meditates, because he developed a startling amount of road rage. If he drives, they will obey every law, music is kept low, and the car has to behave. He threatens to turn the car around at least three times a trip.
He gets Gricko in the front seat. Kremy used to argue and complain, but Frost pulled him aside and explained that if he's in the back, he can sit practically on top of Gideon. 'To Keep Warm'. This shockingly worked, and Kremy gets in the back now with minimal grumbling.
Gricko:
Hasn't Got A Lisence, Can't Drive.
DO NOT LET THIS MAN BEHIND THE WHEEL. HE IS TO BE STRAPPED INTO HIS SEAT AND DRUGGED IF NECESSARY. HE IS THE REASON GIDEON HAS CRASHED TWO CARS. HE CANNOT REACH THE PEDALS.
All said and done, he's fine when he isn't moving. Hootsie gets the trunk, so normally he's cooing to her over the back seat, or he's chatting bullshit with Gideon. When he's in front, Frost let's him pick the music and distribute snacks. Yes, he does the dad tax.
Torbek:
Hasn't Got A Lisence, Can't Drive.
He's lucky if he's strapped to the roof. JK, he's usually sat in the back left seat. He instantly falls asleep when the car starts, and is the least annoying passenger (besides the smell).
He has motion sickness, but thankfully the sleeping counteracts that. The issue is that when he wakes up, he's groggy and grumpy for about twenty minutes, and the Duke has shown up to tell them to piss off.
