Happiness 2
Care 3
From this prompt list.
As arms close around his armoured one, Imbert's immediate reaction is to still. Very few people have the ability to sneak up on him, and even few would touch him in such a familiar way, so it's easy enough for him to expect a familiar as the figure moves past him in an attempt to drag him along.
The knight is strong though, and stands firm in place. His face is still its usual, resting neutral — but the subtle twitch of his eye, tightening of his jaw, and flash of snarl are clear signs of annoyance — as the other person turns to look at him seemingly also confused by his lack of cooperation.
"Watch yourself. I do not know you and you would do well to have words with me before you lay hands upon me again. You are fortunate to have found me in good spirits and my blade's thirst quenched, or your blood would be spilled to satisfy both."
There's a moment where he wonders if they had heard him, or even understood him. Such an innocent and carefree action reminds him of a child's behavior, a thought he shakes off with a huff.
"Who are you? What do you want?" He tries again, slower, with as much enunciation and clarity as he can manage through his rising levels of frustration. This seems to work, as the person now in front of him makes a face, reaches into their pack and produces a small bundled lunch, offering it to Imbert. The knight doesn't take it, however, instead crosses his arms over his chest, glaring down at them from behind the stone mask of his helm.
"First you approach me from behind in silence, put your hands on me without introduction, and now you have an offering? I will decline. I have no squire to see if it is poisoned, and have no interest in finding out myself."
A shake of his head and the knight drops his arms to his side, the right coming to rest casually on the hilt of his blade with another barely there eye twitch and returns to his watch.
