The Road Trip || Izzy & Simon ( shh, and Jace )
Weeks on the road. Weeks! Or, more accurately, days on the road sitting in the back of a rental car that smells a little like cheap perfume and a fried egg sandwich. No ability to maintain a skincare routine. Convenience store bathrooms(!) and all the googly eyes going on in the front seat.
Oh, and Jace is in the back seat. Like a third wheel! Why did he agree to let Alec and Magnus portal alone and, for one more 'why', why didn't Magnus bother to swirl up a portal for him? What could he have possibly done to deserve this fresh, meaty hell Simon so enthusiastically calls a 'road trip'?
The car finally passes the 'Welcome to Lebanon' sign, speeds down a deserted road flanked by a gigantic cornfield on one side, soybeans on the other. They finally finds the town square and pull up to the curb beside a pizza parlor. The car's barely stopped and Jace is climbing out, trying to dust the rental goo off the high-end Mad Max looking thing he's wearing, "I'm not doing that again. Do you hear me? We're flying home. Flying."
*pets Jace* In my defense, you said I could.
waits until simon’s done petting to bite him like a cat.

"All things must end."
Or at least that's what he thought. Now that it had come to light that he and Clary were related there was no way he could continue to pursue her like he had. There was also the fact that he had enough problems as it was and he didn't need people to give him more trouble because it had come out Clary was his sister. Though standing there and talking to Simon about it seemed a bit strange. Jace had known the other had a crush on her and for a long while he assumed Clary and Simon were dating. With this new information he figured Simon would see it as his way of getting the one thing he'd wanted; Clary. Though, if that wasn't why he was there then why? It wasn't as they were friends and he didn't make a point of spending time with Simon, so why? "I thought you'd prefer that now since that makes Clary free."

Ibrahim had to admit, he enjoyed watching people struggle. It gave him some kind of satisfaction knowing he could quicker remedy the situation. He leaned back against the wall; his eyes never left them. Arms crossed and judgment in his eyes, he spoke. “Whenever you want to stop being stubborn and ask for help, let me know.” ( @imboldadjacent )

Erica still hadn’t met may people from the shadow world yet. She was still getting used to the fact that creatures like vampires and fairies even existed. Then again, coming from Beacon Hills she shouldn’t be surprised that the world just keeps getting crazier. She was so grateful to both Luke and Jace for saving her and helping her figure all this out.
Luke had mentioned a bar where lots of people like them spent their time, and Erica couldn’t resist the opportunity to learn more about her new world. She placed herself on a barstool in the centremost part of the bar and leaned over to the bartender. “Do you guys have alcohol that can actually get you drunk?” As the bartender nodded, she grinned with excitement. She’d never actually felt the effects of alcohol before. Swivelling slighty on her chair she noticed a guy sitting nearby and was instantly curious. He reminded her a little of Stiles, how could she resist? “So..come here often?” It was cliche but better than her straight up asking what he was, which was what she wanted to do.
"I highly recommend never having feelings."
He had always told himself he would never get involved with a nephilim. Mortals had been up on that list, too, thanks to the fact they wouldn't live as long, but nephilim — he never wanted to get involved with them and he'd just been proven why. It shouldn't have surprised him that Alec had decided to go against his wishes and it shouldn't have surprised him that he'd kept it from him for as long as he had. Mortals all seemed to think that they needed to be fixed and Magnus had hoped that maybe Alec would've been different. Instead, he proven to him just how similar he was to other mortals and he would never allow himself to be involved with them again. Though, he was curious as to why Simon was there. Most everyone knew about what had happened so why was he there? "They are nothing but trouble."
