I’m in the middle of my third fic and realized I need to give my characters full names. So tada
Mezem te Tsal Yesang’ite
Tar’em te Tsal Yesang’itan
Naraym te Ahani Eytul’ite
Te’ung te Poruk Emtul’ite
I don’t know if they’re accurate to the Na’vi language but they ain’t canon so idc I like them
I haven’t given Imeyi nor Vaal full names yet but I might not as their full names won’t be mentioned in future fics. They will have more character than the ones with names as I don’t want them to be forgotten background characters, they are not the main but still important.
I saw this person on tiktok with the best double Mohawk ever so I’m making it canon that Mez has a double Mohawk with rat tails. Keeping the punk agenda alive in my characters even if I’m not anymore
Imeyi things because I don’t want her to just be Naraym’s girlfriend. And this is a long one so buckle up
Her draft name was Yareet and Yaraina. Neither fit after I created Yenil because I didn’t like how similar they were and just sound so low effort(which Yenil also was) but Imeyi was perfect. I love her so much.🥹
She was originally from the Tawkami clan as I intended for her to be a master herbalist and be naturally kind hearted but the Tawkami aren’t warriors and dislike conflict. The Kame’tire was more fitting as I wanted her to be a natural at fighting, even though Naraym loves her and is fiercely protective. She wants a lover who can fight and not cower away.
She is the same height as Naraym but is older than her by a few months, she is 15 during the events of the 2/3 movie and is 8 feet 7 inches. Which is the same height as Neytiri.
Imeyi is a gifted strategist and prefers being on the sidelines, enjoying a more relaxed atmosphere opposed to her violent Lover. She has even beaten Naraym in a brawl, which definitely didn’t result in her falling in love with Imeyi. (Which it totally did) Naraym wasn’t salty or pressed about losing, in fact she was thrilled that her girlfriend could fight so well and immediately wanted to court her. Which the Txranti don’t do, but Naraym wanted to learn some Kame’tire customs as to impress the girl she definitely didn’t have a crush on. It was totally just for connection purposes and further exude peace between their Clans.
Imeyi is allergic to fish and various other things, she is incredibly talented in weaving and loves weaving new baskets and decoration for her people. Much less the Txranti as they like to incorporate less desirable materials. But she does it occasionally for Naraym and her hunting party. She especially loves Te’ung and learned sign to communicate with her. She was actually given the honor to shave her head, which is done when a right of passage is completed. The Na’vi is seen as an adult and essentially reborn, as their hair grows back it symbolises their journey ending and a new one beginning that only ends in death.
When Imeyi joined the clan, she had to go through the same passages to become one of the Txranti(similar to Jake sully and his family) she is yet to complete all the passages. Seylu was the youngest to complete all of them at just 10 years old, which is why she was appointed as the new Tsahìk before her tragic end.
Imeyi loves the colour orange as it is the brightest and boldest colour, she thinks it resembles Naraym. Which she teases her about much to Naraym’s dismay. Imeyi is the only one who can spot or sense Naraym despite her fantastic stealth and stalking abilities. Naraym doesn’t know why but it might have something to do with the powders she carries. The Txranti can’t smell it due to growing up with the smell
Both Naraym’s mother and Imeyi’ father are from the Kekunan clan. It might explain Imeyi’ spirit and bravery while Naraym always had the longing to be in the sky and carve her own destiny away from her clan. This later does happen as Mez is appointed Olo’eykte with an unknown Tsahik seven years after the third movie is set, which takes place during the (future) 4th instalment.
Imeyi and Naraym decide to journey around Pandora, Imeyi teaching Naraym to tame an Ikran as she has surprisingly refused to ride one despite desiring to and yearning for it unknowingly. But without a clan to run and ground her, she has no clue what to do except for what she wants. And she couldn’t love Imeyi more for showing her how to be soft and change her without taking away her character. They don’t settle in one spot until the inevitable war comes along again. And so do the Sully’s.
