After defeating Lorroakan, Rolan takes over the tower only to be informed that his previous master had a child. A little girl, who just wants someone to want her.
For Rolan, this is an unpleasant twist in his Arch Wizard journey. For Clera, being adopted by a mysterious wizard and moved into a magical tower is kind of a dream come true.

Ok I got about an hour before I gotta go to work and I cracked this out FAST.
Warning: description of body/gender dysphoria, and Chilchuck was forced out of the closet.
This is also Pre Relationship, and during the Changeling Arc, because I loved Tall Man Chilchuck.

Chilchuck was more quiet than usual, as he sat cross legged, scrubbing the changeling residue off from the clothes. He was rather upset by everything, if he were honest, but it wasn’t really anyone’s fault.

“Chilchuck?” Laios asked, and Chilchuck looked down at the – current – dwarf, and a sigh left him.
“What?” He asked, annoyed that he had to wear his towel up around his chest. It wasn’t often anyone in the party got naked around each other, and even when they made the make shift sauna back when they got their stuff again, he slid another tunic on, to try to hide his chest.
“None of us care, you know.” Laios said, and Chilchuck looked at him, feeling a bit confused.
“What are you talking about?”
“That you’re not a man like Senshi and I are. I mean you- you are! You’re totally a man!” Laios immediately back tracked. “But it’s okay that you’re a little different, you know?! And- and- uh-”

Teachings of Demons--Chapter 99: Allies and Accusations
After a two year hiatus, Teachings of Demons returns!
For those of you feeling the post-holiday blues, why not try out this 99 chapter epic with samurai, would-be samurai, Oni (demons), politics, and the stirrings of revolutionary war? Written for the Hakuōki (Hakuouki) fandom, this story has even been enjoyed by those who haven’t played the games or seen the anime!
For those of you longing for more Hakuōki (with all your favourite characters), but thinking “holy word count Batman!”, please give it a try. Most of you won’t be disappointed (I admit that I am biased toward Saito and Harada; however, the story has a lot of content for all the main characters, and a lot more content for the less developed Oni characters (Kazama, Amagiri, Shiranui, Sen, Kimigiku).
For those of you who have been waiting for two. whole. goat-f-cking years. (Thank you, Hijikata-san...) I thank you for your support, and hope that you will enjoy diving back into the plotting, the intrigues, and the characters of ToD.

Pseudo-Coffee Shop AU for Day 2!
Obi-Wan has never known a good phone call to start with, “We have a problem.”
He’d barely been back home for five minutes when his phone had started ringing. If he’s being perfectly honest with himself, as soon as he’d seen the picture of Ahsoka wearing those ridiculous googly eye glasses pop up on his screen (she had set her own contact photo in his phone, and he refuses to admit to her that he doesn’t know how to change it) he’d already expected the worst. Not for the first time, he’d briefly thought about how grateful he is that they now have a lawyer in the family – one of the more unexpected benefits of his younger brother getting married first.
Still, he’d picked it up halfway through the second ring, voice intentionally calm even as Ahsoka’s words on the other side of the line – she hadn’t even bothered to start with a greeting – had made his heart rate spike. Two minutes later, he’d been backing out of the driveway once more, before the engine had even cooled from his drive home.
And that’s how he’d found himself standing at the back door of the used bookstore he’d inherited from his father, staring down at Ahsoka’s sheepish smile and the doorknob in her hand. The doorknob that is conspicuously no longer attached to the door.
Obi-Wan sighs and scrubs both hands down the front of his face. “What did you do?”
“For the record, I told her it was a bad idea,” Cody grunts from where he’s standing next to her, arms crossed and hands tucked in close to his chest. Ahsoka elbows him.
“Traitor,” she grumbles. And then, to Obi-Wan, “I was trying to help! It’s not my fault we didn’t invest in better doors.”
The quality of the doors, Obi-Wan thinks, is likely not the issue here. “So let me see if I have this right. Cody’s keys were locked inside the shop, and rather than calling me or Anakin, you decided to… what? Try to break in?”
“I wasn’t trying to break anything. I was picking the lock.”
“With a screwdriver?”
“Petrichor,” Cas says, tilting his head up to welcome the splash of the first raindrops against forehead, against cheek. His face is transformed with pleasure, inhaling deep of the unique scent of drought-breaking rain. It has not rained in weeks, the crops hovering near death for days now, the earth parched.
Dean will never admit it, but he prayed four days ago, alone on his knees before Cas came up to bed.
Still.
Watching Castiel’s face, Dean’s prayer of thanksgiving is not for the saving grace of rain, but for what he’d still have, even if the crops had died.

Having discovered that I can actually do drabbles (this is very much news to me, y’all), feel free to shoot me three-emoji drabble prompts and I’ll do them in 100 words (possibly give or take a few, because I do what I want, dammit).
I have an idea for a fic (drabble really), and I decided to post a tiny piece of it to see what people think.
It was all quick flashes, but he heard one thing in the other’s voice as the visions went by.
“I don’t care what being your paladin is doing to me; I’ll pay the price as needed.”
The last vision showed the paladin ending up paralyzed, and groaning in pain as it happened.
Blue was afraid that it would happen to Lance.
Lance was quiet, but he put his hands on the controls.
“I’ll pay the price as needed.” He told her softly.
