I’m doing a bad job with the pronouns, it turns out it’s harder to make the switch with my own child than with a friend or acquaintance. In my defense I raised this thing up from infancy.
In other news their explanation for the change seems to be that they “just want to be a they” and while they haven’t stated it expressly I’m pretty sure that in addition to pronouns being “they/them,” their gender is now “kid.”

Coworker (M) asks boss (S) if I can do all the store work, S says I can if I want to, so I do it. M then tells S that I was outside while she was on the register. S asks M if I was outside working --- M flat out says yes. M apparently didn’t realize that she couldn’t run out and smoke or fuck around with the dominos workers as much if I did all the store work.
