I have a lot of missed posts to catch up on so here! This was day 29 of my 30 day art challenge and I had to do fanart so I took this chance to do some Zachary Ying fanart because there is not enough and I fell in love with this after I reread it recently. Ignore the emperors in the back I was gonna include them more detailed but I was tired so I focused more on Melissa, Simon and Zachary. Zachary Ying was written by Xiran Jay Zhao yall should read it btw. (Also ignore how instagram is annoying and forced this sideways if it wasn't it would only show Zachary lol)

Aa, helloo everone! I decided to start an art blog, since hell, why not (what better to do in quarantine anyway). So, this here is a self-portrait for @pencilcat 's Improvement Hell ! (Ik, this is a super old art challenge, but rn I thought it'd be great to do it since I don't have any school atm).

A bit more about me: I have drawn/painted for as long as I can remember (roughly 17 years!) and hope to go study animation after graduating high-school. If I don't draw I like to read books (anything goes, but lately I am really into classics!), watch movies, and eat cereal (I am literally a hoe for all kinds of cereal). I also love talking to new ppl and making friends, so hmu! ^w^ i don't bite!

10/30 Improvement Challenge - 1 point perspective! This one was quite interesting! I decided to switch it up with some ink, and boy did I go in too strong. I really wanted to try free-handing it, and that’s how we ended up with the left half / second image. It has its own charm, but it’s not what I envisioned!  I almost gave up / started over, but decided to just ink the right half (third image) image in a much more controlled, intentional manner. While not exact, it sure appeals more to me than the other! 

What did I learn? Inking bars in perspective is ass either way. That, and it feels good to not give up! I feel like I’m getting better in that area! :)
