[absaroka-wasteland]

Welcome to the Absaroka wasteland, a Fallout: New Vegas alternate universe that imagines the wild west beyond the Mojave. There are two stories that will be set in this world, populated by oddball settlements and pretend-cowboys. I'm doing research for my Trolls 2 Racism Alagory essay that no one asked for, but I'm doing it anyway. 😂 And I'm surprised at how many people didn't get the message. So many people thought the film was simply talking about people with different tastes in music. Did the "one nation," "culture," "differences matter," and "outdated" comments fly over their heads?

To me, not understanding that Trolls 2 is an alagory for how white people colonized, stole, and destroyed none white cultures. While pushing their own beliefs and culture onto them. AND erasing hsitory. Is like not understanding that Nimona is an alagory for how queer people are treated all around the world and seen as inhuman creatures. Or how Barbie is an alagory for how women are treated and no gender is above the other. Elemental is an alagory for immigrants and how they get treated.

Or maybe I'm just living under a rock, and there are people who didn't understand the alagories to those films, too. 😅 I'm not complaining. I'm just confused about how these alagories can fly over people's heads sometimes. Hell, my friend didn't even comprehend that Death in The Last Wish was Death until the very end of the film.

Who came up with all these ‘aliens’. We got shit on earth like fucking octopuses and emus but heaven forbid an actual alien doesn’t have 2 legs, 2 arms and 1 head at the top of their body. I ain’t buying it. Burn the idea that aliens have to be humanoids.
