“Oh, you mean you have been without glasses before?” Araneateased him, all the while keeping the flashlight attached to her armor turnedtowards the ground – Steyliff Grove was a treacherous place. The ground movedwithout warning and it had just separated them from the king and the blond one, leaving the dragoon with the adviser behind, in the floor below.
Aranea could have just jumped back to the other floor – her unofficialnickname was well-founded and they had witnessed her skills in air combat; buteven if she was strong enough to carry Ignis with her, the sudden fall to thefloor below had knocked his glasses off and he looked like someone totallydifferent without them.
Also really funny whenever he squinted to see something, despite the clams he could see just fine.
“Guys call you ‘Specs’ and everything… I just assumed you wereborn like that, y’know,” she teased further, ignoring the offended huff andkept looking for the poor lost pair of glasses among the rubble; it would be amiracle if it had survived, really… Not a lot of places for a soft and harmlesslanding among all that hard stone. But suddenly, the edge of her boot touchedsomething and she followed the noise, finding the pair of lenses intact.
“Here, Specs. Can’t really call you Specs without ‘em,” shehanded over the pair and Ignis mouthed a silent thanks, pushing them into placeright away – the lenses were a bit dirty and probably had a few scratches but…He seemed much better. Everything was normal again.
And out of nowhere, the rocks just levitated back into place, sealing the hole they had slipped through; Prompto’s surprised cries reachedthem but Aranea just laughed. Yeah, she supposed the moving rocks were quite athing for someone unused to the odd ruins.
“Don’t worry, handsome. There’re stairs back there. Come on,let’s go back before your prince throws a fit and blames my tour guideservices,” Aranea winked, but Ignis seemed to silently agree with her – best notleave Noctis unattended for long indeed.
