There was a booth at the Fitness Expo this past weekend that was doing body composition scans. I talked to the lady managing the booth for a good while before I finally decided to pay to have mine done. I also asked, “If it makes me cry can I have my money back?” Of course that was a no, ha ha. Good news is I did not cry and I was even shocked by the test results!!
The results show my body fat percentage at 26. That’s in the normal range!! Actually almost ALL of my numbers were in the normal range. My BMI, Body Fat Mass, Lean Body Mass, and my Visceral Fat levels, all normal. The last time I had my body fat tested was over 5 years ago. I was at 33% then. This is even more proof that dedication and persistence is SO IMPORTANT. Keep working. Keep pushing. Just. Keep. Going.
My InBody score was 82. Out of 100. 100 being the best physically fit, as far as body composition goes. I am a happy girl. I know that there are countless ways to track your progress and that not everything is completely accurate. But for someone who has lost a 100 lbs you do deal with body dismorphia. It’s real. I may struggle with that forever. But seeing these numbers, and knowing the injuries I’ve had to deal with the past few years, and the surgery, and life, and being a mom, and a wife. . . . .I am doing well. I am doing a good job. And I will continue to push forward.
Halfway through my gym's month long weightloss challenge and 2 weeks into another 8 week challenge that I am participating in! Here are my 2 week check-in results. Not totally sure about the accuracy but happy that body fat percentage is moving down and muscle mass is going up!
