We have these chairs at work that have adjustable arms. I've always kept mine all the way up bc when they're down low they would get stuck on my hips or stupid horrible muffin top thing.

Well just out of curiousity, I lowered them all the way down and they didn't touch the hips!

So I suppose, even though I don't see a damn thing happening, there's always the reassurance that my ass and subsequent hips are at least small enough to fit into a work chair.

So theres that! I'll take it!

Did you know counting calories is counterproductive? It's true!! Self imposed deprivation has been shown to cause mental fatigue and guilt! Who wants that? Now that doesn't mean go out and eat everything and anything (That's also counterproductive). Nutrient dense foods are where it's at!! Eat those and you will feel satisfied, fuel your body so it performs at top notch and lose inches!! I say inches because fat takes up more space per pound than muscle. Hitting the squat rack

Today I finally quit the measly 10lbs dumbbells and 24lb bar and hit the gym's main free weights floor to begin Starting Strength:

35lbs bar squat | 3x5

negative pullups | 3x5

75lbs deadlift | 1x5

25lbs overhead press | 3x5

45lbs bench press | 1x2

Still a lot to work on but I plan on adding 5lbs every week until I hit my first plateau. I'm eating 1700 cals/day and need to increase it. I haven't been weighing myself but I can estimate I've gained about ~3lbs of muscle and my waist has shrunk from 26inches to a comfortable 24.5. Can't wait for Monday! Squats are my new favorite thing.
