Energy Projects Near Indo-Pak Border Raise Security Concerns

 Energy vs. Security: A Heated Debate in Lok Sabha!

Opposition parties, including Congress & DMK, protested against a hybrid renewable energy project set up just 1 km from the India-Pakistan border. 

🔹 Congress leader Manish Tiwari questioned whether security norms were relaxed for this project, as critical infrastructure is mandated to be 10 km away from the border. 

🔹 Union Minister Pralhad Joshi defended the move, ensuring that all security and government clearances were obtained before approval. 

However, the Opposition wasn’t convinced and staged a walkout, accusing the government of compromising national security for corporate benefits.
