I've been on the hellsite since 2010, this place has robbed a decade of my life, given me very little in return except for some close friends but they don't count in this equation. Somehow I managed to gather myself enough, and draw enough inspiration from the spewing feminist mass of bullshit on here to make an unhinged feminist feature film thriller... I'll be perfectly honest, seeing the rough cut of this shit is like watching lynch meets lifetime movie meets the room and a person with a vagina is steering the unmoored vessell... it's feminist The Room... did I intend it that way? Let's pretend yes.

But I know this site and I know you'd probably watch that. It's got everything... bad acting... good acting... deep thoughts... senseless violence... gratuitous disturbing sex.... goddess worship...every character (there are two of them, possibly a third) is awful... its a hot mess unraveling in freezing winter. Please, please consider donating anything you can, every donation counts! The movie was shot entirely on what small savings I earned as a graduate assistant and adjunct during my film mfa days, now I am broke and living with my mother the past six months of darkness and death.

Despite it all we got the film in the can, the hour and 12 minute rough cut looks amazing, but we need this big push to finish editing it! To have it ready for festivals and for distribution companies! Eugina Gelbelman here with a hot ass production still featuring the ancient Moon Goddess (Morgan Everitt) and Sun God (Jonathan Peck) in the flesh. I’m a 29 year old filmmaker who recently wrapped shooting on her first feature called “The White Goddess”, that is based on Robert Graves’ concept of a pre-Hellenic supreme female deity; Artemis, Aphrodite, Athena, Hecate, Hera, Persephone, Demeter... all aspects of one all powerful Goddess figure worshipped above all other Gods. This movie takes that powerful mythology and mixes it with a feminist spin on movies like “Misery”, “Driftwood” and “Ladies in Lavender”.

I’ll start with transparency up front; this site exists to raise the finishing funds ($50,000) to complete post-production on a fiercely independent, uniquely and wildly feminist, self financed ($10,000 of my own TA savings), microbudget feature shot for two weeks in Northern Quebec, and to pay the cast and crew who made it possible. I’ll be posting stills, videos, behind the scenes footage of the film, in addition to relevant research material, both written and visual that I used to write and direct the feature, so expect prose, poetry, essays, paintings and artwork, as well as reblogs of the films that inspired this one.

I’ve been on tumblr since 2010, and I can’t say this site hasn’t had a formative influence on me. As much as anything this film is a product of what I have absorbed and come across on this site and others over the past decade. This movie is a fever dream creation of my brain, addled and influenced by feminist concepts encountered on tumblr, on top of my own extensive years of studying history and film and my fascination with female power. So please follow and keep track of the film if you are intrigued by these posts, and support a fellow tumblr artist in her journey to completing her first feature and bringing a certain kind of completely free and unhinged feminism to the screen. This movie is a rebellion.
