I made a pouch! It took a lot of time and effort but I learned a lot while doing it! The dang pattern description said it was very fast to do, but it wasn’t until I bought the pattern and opened the file that it said it was intermediately difficult. It took me about 8 hours but I’m glad I finished it!

Finally got these limbs done!! Next will be the body! I still need to add some color/ nails to the hands and maybe sew in some palm lines but we’ll see!

I’ve been holding off from buying a sewing machine for years for fear of not knowing what the fuck im doing with it but now.... the day has COME

Like I’m finally at the point where I literally cannot learn to do much else with sewing or grow in my craft without one because sewing by hand is just holding me back

Anyway I bought one online and saved like $50 bucks so it was $200 including an air soluble pen, some needles, and the machine itself comes with a walking foot so I don’t need to go hunting for a compatible one thank god

More progress on my first needle painting attempt! I’m trying to keep track of how long it takes me but it’s hard to tell when I get distracted every five minutes pfndfj This update took me about four hours but it was good practice! I was certainly neater on this petal and kept from over layering the thread but I could stand to be a bit better with thread direction

Next time I want to try an animal so I have an excuse to figure out how to mix colors more frequently in shorter stitches and use thread direction to give the illusion of fur/ minor shadows

Cries something came up and I inadvertently gave myself an actual deadline for this so it should be done by this weekend
