Hannah and Cassie are kind of special to me because everyone - as in book characters and fandom - view them as the kind, caring, and innocent and morally conscious ones (which they are) but totally ignore the scenes where they were borderline manipulative, have violent urges that they never satisfy, self jusify, and can read people enough to know just the right things to say to get what they want. they also lie to themselves, that's why reading their own inner monologue you need to analyze a little to see through their true intentions, they are so manipulative and self justifying even YOU as a reader were fooled
