Beast stuck :(

Unlike Demons who explode into existence and then vanish shortly after, and Spirits who don't have the staying power to hold themselves on another plane for long, if you summon a Darkbeast there's a good chance they just.... won't be bothered to go home again. This is kind of a problem because they embody lethargy and stillness and various similar aspects, so you end up with a whole area of the environment fading and dying to ennui because there's an unmotivated Darkbeast parked there for the next few months or years or centuries

Dunno what the fuck he's wearing I was in a mood. He's showing off his stupid little haptic anonymity suit, which after talking with Q about tech levels, we determined would probably be biological so it could heal itself (good) and not be hacked (bad), and also prohibitively expensive. OOAK. I don't know what he had to do to get it but he probably owes a lot of bad people some nasty favors and has to deliver on them regularly. I genuinely don't know how I want it to look, so this was just me messing around. I think it can probably shock people if he wants it to. Slippery man.

I've had the concept of the "english lions" in my head for a long time: Lore-created creatures of March Earth that resemble the anatomically bizarre lions of the UK coat of arms, but I realised today that there are so many weird heraldry lions in europe, why stop there? from now on they are called "herald lions" and they're all over the european subcontinent, with regional variants. They're all very old and pretty hard to kill, and the bohemian lion (silver-white with two tails) has the added wonderful trait of being radioactive, since the area that used to be Czechia in Infraflux is covered by MEGRA, the giant patch of radioactive terrain that has consumed a lot of central-eastern europe

It's such a strange feeling, calling this a completed article. I first started working on the Infraflux setting as a concept roughly around 2008, and boy it's been through some development. Getting to lay out all the details "on paper" in one place for the first time is a hell of a thing, makes it feel so much more real than ever before. I've still got so much to explore with this world though, and much more to write!!
