I’m really noticing how mean Freddie is being to Ben in Initiated and Bathtime. Calling him the court jester, then taking a potshot at his academic issues with the “[if Ben is helping w the party] then it’ll never get done”. If she knew how much he’s struggling, she would know how cruel it is to mock him for that. You can see on his face that he’s hurt.

So WHY is Freddie being mean to Ben? Is she taking out her frustration at not being able to pursue a relationship with Kit on him? Is she taking out her guilt about going along with Ben in Punishment on him? I think it’s a combination of both. And I hate it. Be better to your best friend, Freddie!
