The Geometry of Passion.

Once I started drawing the 10Dance duo, I realized I couldn't just stop at one portrait. I’ve become fascinated by how they occupy space. Their movement is like a language, and I’m trying to learn every word. 🖤

In this second piece of my India ink series, I wanted to play with perspectives. I’ve included a top view because there is something so architectural and powerful about seeing a ballroom couple from above—it highlights the precision of their connection. I paired it with a frontal view to keep that emotional spark alive.

Every time my brush touches the paper, I feel like I’m rehearsing the dance with them. 🖋️

Things I want to remember in March

Stop obsessing over people you call or called friends and how they hurt you or are hurting you. Rather obsess over the book you're working on and the healthy things you're doing for your skin, hair and body. Care for that if you really want to care about something.

Water your plants every day. When you don't it's really just a reflection of how you don't care for yourself either and also like why must they suffer and die cos you have issues.

Don't be penny wise and pound foolish. Stop using your credit card. So that you can stop taking on shifty freelance projects to pay off bills you can't explain. This is not the year you focus on money. Earning or spending it. So stop.

Sleep. For the thousandth time. Sleep by midnight.

Go to the doctor(s). It's embarrassing and inconvenient but it's crucial. Don't be stupid. Zoom out.

Give therapy another try. This time you know better. So you don't talk about the stakes still stuck in your heart during the first few sessions. Instead talk about the confusion of things you can't process right now.

Get your bed. Sleeping on a mattress with plastic still on is no fun. Get it sorted.

Let those who want to leave go. No matter the love or the questions or the tears, they will still leave. It sucks and it would have been nice to still have them around but you know the drill. You still live and carry on.

Work on your all or nothing attitude. It has been doing you tremendous harm right under your nose. Balance. It will take time and trial and error but that's the one thing you must figure out.
